July 02, 2013The Adobo Road Cookbook Winners
So there were 123 entries in the giveaway for The Adobo Road cookbook. As usual, I really enjoyed reading your comments, especially when folks share their personal experiences -- even just the desire to win a prize. The winners this time around were all men. I used Random.org and the numbers picked all belonged to male commentors. For the Cookshelf app, all the winners were women but there was a smaller number of entrants.
Aside from the randomness of this kind of drawing, the comments from the winners reflect a totally cool range of perspectives:
David wrote: "I used to shop at a Filipino supermarket when Ilived in Tokyo. I love all the sauces and vinegars, the sweet/sour taste. Iwould love to learn more about this cuisine."Dennis has been part of the VWK community for years and has a ginormous cookbook collection: "I have always liked some Filipino dishes. But Ihave not been able to add a Filipino cookbook to my Asian cookbook collection:>("Stephen said: "My experience with Filipino food doesn't gomuch further than lumpia rolls, so I would love to learn more about the cuisine."So who says men don't cook or read food blogs? And, there's obvious plenty of interest in Filipino fare and The Adobo Road. Thank you, everyone, for participating.
